根据BBC报道，英国女王登基60周年将对英国各城市进行巡访(Jubilee tour)，莱斯特市很幸运地成为女王全国巡访的第一个城市。本次女王Jubilee tour将从莱斯特开始，于怀特岛结束，女王到达莱斯特的时间为3月8日，具体路线将会于近期公布。

The Queen will travel the length and breadth of the country by land, sea and air as she celebrates her Diamond Jubilee, it was revealed today.Prince Philip, 90, will join the 85-year-old monarch as she meets her subjects on the five-month tour, starting in Leicester on March 8 and finishing on the Isle of Wight on July 25.

LONDON — Queen Elizabeth II's diamond jubilee tour of Britain will criss-cross the kingdom over five months, Buckingham Palace said Wednesday as they released her itinerary. The tour, to mark the 60th anniversary of her accession to the throne, will start with a visit to the central city of Leicester on March 8, and end in Hampshire, on July 25.
