Crooks have stolen two JCBs worth a total of £40,000.
The first theft happened between January 25 and January 28 at Freeman's Common House, in Welford Road, Leicester.
The JCB is a yellow telescopic forklift with the registration number KX55 UYS and is estimated to be worth about £25,000.
The second vehicle, a yellow two-tonne track excavator mini digger, valued at about £15,000, went missing from Highcross Street, Leicester, between February 8 and February 11.
The digger had the word "Trueman" in black writing on an arm on the front.
Police have just released information about the thefts.
Investigating officer, Pc Tori Edwards, said: "We are linking these incidents and we are not ruling out the possibility they are being stolen to order.
"We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at this time to get in touch."
