Talented youngsters have set up their own gallery to exhibit their work as part of a children's arts festival.
Children from Spinney Hill Primary School, in Spinney Hills, Sandfield Close Primary School, in Rushey Mead, and Braunstone Frith Junior School, all in Leicester, have put their paintings on display at the city's Phoenix Square.
Spark Children's Arts Festival organisers helped them select pieces for their gallery, called The Portrait Palace.
Leicester artist Helen Gyngell was behind the project, and the pupils visited New Walk Museum and Gallery, to get tips on how to present work.
Ritik Lakhani, 10, of Sandfield Close Primary School, painted a portrait of his friend, Siona Mehta, for the exhibition. He said: "I've enjoyed the whole thing from doing the painting to seeing it displayed."
The exhibition is open to members of the public tomorrow and on Sunday, from 11am to 4pm.
