Scotland immigration system extended to UK
Scotland's Fresh Talent immigration scheme is to be extended to the rest of the United Kingdom as the new points-based UK immigration system is implemented this year, the Home Office has said.
The Scottish scheme was introduced three years ago and encourages immigration by allowing non-EU students to live in Scotland for two years after they leave college or university there.
The new UK immigration system will apply this scheme across the whole of the UK, allowing non-EU students to apply for leave to remain in the UK to work without a UK work visa for up to two years.
A report to Holyrood's European and External Relations Committee says: "The requirement for graduates of Scottish institutions to remain within Scotland for the duration of the leave, therefore has been removed."
Anyone interested in getting a better understanding of their current position under UK visa regulations should request a call from a qualified UK Visa Bureau migration consultant to see if they are eligible for migration to the UK, or call direct on Freephone 0800 043 7011. Alternatively, HSMP visa hopefuls should try taking the HSMP online assessment.作者: Enoch 时间: 2008-1-11 01:18
