Hi. I am Lan working at Dept. of CPP, Unversity of Leicester. My licensed Norton is going to expire. Can somebody recommend a good free antivirus software to download. I know they are not as powerful as bought ones. But some people say their free antivirus work very well, like AVG, AVAST! ect. I am thinking about AVAST!. Can some experts give me any suggestions? I will be very grateful! Thanks very much.

I didn't have any anti-virus software on my machine as I use Ubuntu and Mac OS X instead of Windows ... but university do provide licensed anti-virus software Sophos for all students and staffs, it can be installed on CFS/non CFS University machines, even on your desktop/laptop at home. You can request a free CD by visiting computer centre or download it from internet then ask for serial number by sending an email to Service Desk.
