11月1日（周六）晚，莱斯特市政府将在Abbey Park举行每年一度的大型篝火烟花节(Bonfire night)，每年吸引数万人前往，有live music，娱乐，美食，儿童小型烟花，以及大型烟花和篝火。夜里寒冷，记得添衣前往。不管下不下雨，都带把伞最好。篝火非常大，燃起时注意安全。

Bonfire的由来：
Bonfire Night也叫Guy Fawkes Night，在英国是众人皆知的重要传统节日。1605年11月5日，国王James I躲过了一场国会的爆炸暗杀(Gunpowder Plot)，为了纪念，每年的这天被定为Bonfire Night。

当晚大致安排：
5pm Gates open, last admission 7.30pm（5点开始入场，最晚入场是7点半）
6.45pm Children’s firework display followed by lighting the bonfire（先会有场小的儿童烟花）
8pm Leicester’s biggest firework display（晚上8点才是真正大型的烟花和篝火）

Stage hosted by Gem 106 breakfast presenters Sam & Dave

Live music on stage.
Fire performance by Juggling Inferno.
Plus children’s funfair and food stalls.

提前购买门票比较好，比活动当天现场买优惠，再加上学生证的话还有额外优惠。
Advance tickets:
adults £4.50 / concessions £3 / family £13 (two adults, two children)

On the gate:
adults £6.00 / concessions £4 (no family tickets available on the gate)

Children under five free (wristbands required and obtained on purchase of adult ticket)

售票的地点有很多，如下：

莱大学生会Percy Gee Building
DMU学生会Campus Centre
New Walk Museum（New walk上那个有恐龙的博物馆）
市中心的visitor center（在Bhs对面，菜市场入口大门那边，Natwest大厅入口对面）
De Montfort Hall的Box Office也可以（莱大学生毕业典礼的地方）
活动当天的10am - 3.30pm在abbey park road的主大门外也可以购买

交通路线：从市中心钟塔步行至Abbey Park大约15分钟，Google 地图点这里
