What is the CFA Program?

CFA 课程设立于1963年，此后它便成了世界投资行业里衡量优秀水平的基准。在2005年，有来自于160个国家的11万申请者注册了该考试。

《彭博通讯》报道，内地已经成为继美国和加拿大之后第三大CFA考试市场，1996年内地仅有24人参加CFA考试，10年后，内地参加CFA考试的考生数目已超过日本和英国，为5840人，较去年增长19%，超过全球7.2%增幅。香港地区考生为5229人。

　　一名内地资产管理公司研究主管接受本报查询时说，内地金融机构没有严格规定员工需取得CFA资格，但业界近年已开始流行考CFA，冀透过考取CFA资格跳槽到国际金融机构，争取更佳待遇，惟由于外语水平要求严格，及格率不太高。

　　据悉，内地目前只有50个人拥有CFA资格，单以上海市为例，据预测未来3年CFA需求量3000人，现在仅得30人拥有CFA资格，出现巨大供需缺口。

职业前景

作为CFA资格拥有人，可以在各大金融投资机构工作，适应面非常广，如基金管理公司、投资银行、商业银行、证券公司、财务公司、保险公司等等。

通过CFA一级考试部分掌握财务分析工具，资产定价工具以及经济分析框架，可以胜任证券公司、基金公司、商业银行分析师和交易员职位，其课程深度难度和官股大大超过证券从业资格考试。

通过二级考试，能够系统帐务资产定价技术，熟悉债券工具、股票股价工具、深入的财务分析工具，具备国际投资所必备的知识框架，能够胜任证券公司、基金公司、商业银行、保险公司投资部以及大型企业资本运作、财务部门的高级职位。其知识含量相当于国内外财经院校专业金融研究生水平，特别是金融MBA的知识体系。

通过三级考试，为国际大型基金公司基金经理要求，能系统掌握组合资产运用技术，熟悉大型公司的资产配置等技术要求，具备国际一流投资机构的知识体系，能够胜任海外及国内大型跨国投资、证券、基金公司顶尖投资人才要求，对投资知识掌握甚至超过叫国内外最顶尖的商学院金融MBA要求。

Entry requirements
The background
- U.S. bachelor’s degree or equivalent, OR
- Have four years’ professional work experience, OR
- Be in the final year of a degree programme, OR
- Have a combination of four years’ work + college

Certificate in Practical Investment Analysis (CPIA) will run from early August to December 2008. It is designed for full-time students who have started their progress through the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Program.

Candidates who are selected for this course will gain a broad range of talents, ranging from reading company reports, valuing businesses, constructing portfolios and writing research, as well as career skills such as interviewing and group discussions.

Successful candidates will be proud to receive the CPIA Certificate and will be able to show future employers the research that they have produced.

In order to keep the class select, applicants for the programme will be subject to an interview with Quartic staff to ensure suitability.
