Tier 1 Post-study Work的申请经验

刚收到了签证，把过程和相关材料的准备情况和大家分享一下

时间：3月26日寄出，4月22日收到

材料清单：
护照
警察局注册证
学位证
学校开具的证明信（需有学校的印章）
Bank Statements（我提供的是最近4个月的Saving Account 没有提供Current Account）
申请表 （要认真填写，通常填完后可以去找学校相关部门的老师给检查一下）
2张近期护照照片 （在背面写上姓名、性别、生日和国籍，并且要装在一个小信封里）

如此而已，也不需要成绩单。我是给的Postal Order来付申请费的。

由于现在申请采用积分制，所以先简单介绍一下它的积分系统。
此积分系统分为6类，总分需达到95分方能通过
1. 学位 Qualification（20分）：有英国境内院校的本科及以上的学位证
2. 学院 Institution（20分）：学校开具的证明信，学校必须是被相关认可的
3. 身份 Immigration status in the UK during period of study and/or research in the UK（20分）：学生或者研究人员就可以，护照上的签证页可以证明身份
4. 毕业时间 Date of award of qualification（15分）：在毕业后的1年之内申请便可得到这15分，由学校开具的证明信上写明学位的授予时间（不一定是毕业典礼的时间，通常比毕业典礼早）
5. 英语能力 English language（10分）：如果以上的条件都满足，则不需要任何证明便可申请得到这10分，不过最好让学校在开具的证明信上提及是英文教学的课程
6. 日常维持资金 Maintenance(Funds)（10分）：英国境内申请，需在银行里有不少于800镑的存款且不短于3个月；英国境外申请，需在银行里有不少于2800镑的存款且不短于3个月。最好是Original Bank Statements证明

友情提示：
1. 寄送材料一定要用不低于Royal Mail的Special Delivery级别的快递服务（因为之前有朋友用Royal Mail的Recorded寄送，结果出现材料丢失的情况）
2. 最好用一个大纸信封装入所有材料后封好，然后再套上一个Special Delivery的专用信封（因为那个朋友只丢了护照，其他材料却没丢，所以估计是信封破损导致）
3. 由于在寄送的过程中信件容易折损，所以最好找一个有硬度的透明罩把学位证罩起来
4. 如果是用Postal Order付申请费，要在每张Postal Order后边写上申请人的姓名和生日，最好用小别针别在申请表中关于付费的那一页，Postal Order要在邮局用现金买。
5. 如果用卡付费则要确保Home Office成功扣费，否则所有申请材料将被退回。也许要提前跟银行打电话告知（尤其是HSBC的用户最容易扣费不成功）
6. 两张近期护照照片最好也用别针别在申请表中关于照片的那一页
7. Bank Statements如果是好几张最好也用个小别针按时间的顺序别起来


3月31日到4月5日之间，政策有点变化；4月6日以后，政策又继续小改变，不过大致还是相同，所以以上信息仅供大家参考。

Home Office的原文是这样表述的：

If the certificate has yet to be issued, the applicant will be unable to provide the original certificate of award. In these circumstances, the applicant must provide:
ii) an original letter from the institution at which the applicant studied towards his/her eligible qualification. The letter must be an original letter (not a copy), on the official letter-headed paper of the United Kingdom institution at which the applicant studied. It must have been issued by an authorized official and must confirm the:
• applicant’s name;
• title of the qualification;
• date of award (as defined in paragraph 76 of these guidance notes);
• the body awarding the qualification;
• explain the reason why the applicant is unable to provide their original certificate of award; and
• confirm that the certificate will be issued.

（paragraph 76. The date of award is taken as the date on which the applicant was first notified, in writing, by the awarding institution, that the qualification has been awarded. This notification may have been made in writing, directly to the applicant, or by the institution publishing details of the award, either in writing

护照都要邮寄过去那里一个多月吗？太让人感觉不放心了，可以当面去办这样的visa吗？
如果1月份拿到学位，那学校会愿意开具证明吗？
是不是必须论文答辩完，学校才会开啊？

递签都是那样的一般1个月左右的时间。当然，你也可以选择去面签。
一般学校只要确定你所有科目都通过了，就会给你开证明。
如果你还没有论文答辩，就证明你尚未通过所有的科目。

那万一碰到护照掉了之类的事情呢？英国人经常做这样的事情的。
如果面签是当场给签证吗还是要把护照给他们？
面签和递签有什么很大的区别吗？

好像目前psw不能面签，只能寄签哦

我也听说了一些关于丢护照的传言，所以我才建议大家都用不低于Special Delivery的快递寄送，而且要加套一个信封。
面签就是自己带着材料去见他们的人，当面审核材料，有问题当面提问。如果审核通过的话，一般应该是当天就可以拿到了。

面签和寄签的另一个最大的区别就是如下（以下信息节选自最新的Tier 1 Post-study Work申请表上）：
For applications made on this form as a Tier 1 (Post-Study Work) migrant there is a fee of £500 for applications made by post or courier,
or £700 for applications made in person at one of our Public Enquiry Offices.

由此可见，只要多给钱就让面签，嘿嘿～
