water bill should be around £200 per YEAR for the whole house.  Electricity should be less than £10 a week for the whole house (normal usuage).  Gas in summer time is cheap but winter time with central heating on a longer time could be around £30 a month for the whole house (normal usuage), that is my experience. That's why all bills add up to around £25 per person per month for normal usuage. Internet broadband is around £30 per month per house.

Bills + rent always cheaper in private house than in student hall, again from my own experience.  Also there is a sitting room for friends to come around and not so noisy as living in student hall. I lived in hall once and there was a girl living in the room right next to mine with loud music on all the time - nightmare during exam time
