Ash consists of 6 flats, each has 3 single bedrooms, with shared lounge, bathroom and kitchen, total 18 bedrooms.
Beech – consists of 18 flats, each has 3 single bedrooms, with shared lounge, bathroom and kitchen, total 54 bedrooms.
Grange Court – consists of 12 flats, each has 4 single bedrooms, shared bathroom and kitchen, total 48 bedrooms.
Each single study bedroom has a vanity unit, is fully furnished and the kitchens are equipped with appliances and also include the provision of pots, pans and cutlery.
On-site Facilities
Walnut Street Residences benefits from an on-site management and maintenance team. The reception is open Monday 8.00am to 6.00pm, Tuesday 09.00am to 4.30pm and Wednesday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. The communal laundry rooms house the washing and drying machines and are situated in two of the blocks for use by our residents. Limited parking is available under a resident permit scheme for a small additional monthly charge.
There is an internet provision in each study bedroom of the shared flats. The internet charge is included in the service charge of the rent and there is no connection fee.
There is no phone provision in these residences, however, you can independently make an application to the phone provider BT to connect a land line. Please note this has a minimum of an 18 month contract plus a connection fee. You may find that a mobile phone contract would be more suitable.
As per The University of Leicester, Smoking Policy all accommodation is strictly No Smoking.
It is approximately a fifteen minute walk to the University main campus. There are small individual shops close by and there is a large supermarket approximately 10 minutes walk from the residence.
