ARRIVA CUTS FARES

Bus company Arriva is cutting the price of trips between Leicester and Coventry.

Customers travelling on service X6, the fast link serving St Margaret's bus station, Hinckley Road, Fosse Park and Coventry, will be able to get a day return ticket for £4.99 instead of £8.

The offer runs until the end of February.

The lower price is designed to encourage more people to opt for public transport over their car.

Keith Myatt, communications manager for Arriva Midlands, said: "We are committed to making public transport as efficient, reliable and cost effective as possible and the introduction of £4.99 for a day return ticket between Leicester and Coventry on most journeys offers incentive to leave the car at home and try the bus."
