Reading
The semester 1 reading lists will be published when you join us. Prior to arriving you may wish to prepare yourself with some preliminary reading. The following texts are recommended:
Jobber, D. (2009) Principles and Practice of Marketing (6th Edition), Maidenhead: McGraw-Hill.
Ellis, N. et al. (2010) Marketing: A Critical Textbook, London: Sage.
Baker, M. and Saren, M. (2010) Marketing Theory: A Student Text (2nd Edition), London: Sage.
Electives
During the second semester (January 2012 onwards), you will study TWO elective modules. The list of elective modules outlined in the prospectus is subject to change, but for 2011/12 it is expected that the following modules will be available for you to advance your studies:
• A Critical Inquiry into Consultancy
• B2B Marketing and Supply Chain Management
• Consumption, Society and Culture
• International Marketing
• Quantitative Marketing Intelligence
• Services Marketing
You will be asked in October to select your two preferred options from this list.
